 I would highly recommend Nicky’s Place, it’s a first class accommodation for dogs. The rooms are very comfortable, spotless clean and lots of space for walks. Nicky is passionate about dogs and our Lara loved her holidays.

In May 2024 our dog spent a week at Nicky's Place & he loved it. He was cared for as if he were at home & he still has a strong bond with staff who looked after him. His room was clean & comfortable with a private outdoor area and communal areas for set times of the day. I know he was played with and entertained daily & Nicky sent me messages to keep me posted of his visit. There is lots of outdoor space for dogs to run around & exercise. During his stay Bou took ill & Nicky's Place treated him like one of their own. Thank you. I know, all in all, his week at Nicky's Place was a holiday 4 Bou & he loved it.

Benji stayed at Nickys place on two seperate occasions this year, each time Benji looks very happy and contented. He was picked up earlier than planned . The only concern I have is not able to get him booked in when I want as they've only got few spaces .

Norman has been going to Nicky’s Place ever since they opened. He is a very needy Staffordshire bull terrier with different medical needs . Nicky, Bill and any staff have always been welcoming and caring. Norman gets lots of walks and cuddles and I know he is well cared for . The kennels are lovely and kept spotless and there are spacious runs in the fields for each dog . Would highly recommend “ Nicky’s Place” to anyone who is looking for dog boarding.

We were extremely happy with the care that Joe received whilst boarding at Nicky’s Place. He came home rested, well fed and content, as though he had been to a first class dog spa. As owners we felt that the service was first class with brilliant communication, friendly staff and the option to see Joe via WIFI camera offered us the upmost reassurance. My pet Mabel, I was a little reluctant at leaving my dog with anyone as she was only a puppy. I did a bit of searching for recommendations for kennels through friends and good ole facebook. Nicki’s place came highly recommended, but I was still reluctant to leave her. Bill told me just to go and have a look at the place and make my mind up then. It is a home from home with beds, tv’s, heating. I’d stay there. The taster days are a must to get you and your pet used to being there. You can tell Nicky and Cheryl all love their jobs. Mabel usually doesn’t want to go home when I go to pick her up.

From the initial point of contact, until I collected my two dogs after our trip, I received nothing but exemplary service from the wonderful folks at Nicky’s Place. Easy communication, everyone so happy to talk and answer any queries or concerns. I was so worried to leave my dogs so soon after our relocation, but my worry was for nothing. When I returned to collect them, they both came to say hello and then just turned around and went back into the room, jumping around, tails wagging happily. It was lovely to see them so relaxed and at ease with everyone. Clearly, my concerns were not the same as my dogs!  I’ve already booked them in for another stay very soon, and will certainly be continuing to do so going forward. The personal service, the attention to the animals, the immaculate and homey facilities - everything was just wonderful and put my mind at ease. The only issue I have with recommending Nicky’s Place, is that it’ll make it harder for me to book in the future if the demand goes up much more! Sorry, a little wordy, but I can’t say enough good things about you guys! You all are genuinely lovely folks, and I truly appreciate all the help you gave us to settle our two down into the UK. Alfie's 1st stay was for 7 nights. To get him used to the people and kennels, plus to enable Nicky to check him out, he had 2 daycare visits.   Nicky and the others were very welcoming to him, and his needs put first. All my questions were answered and the detailed form I completed was re-assuring. The kennel was good, clean, warm, comfortable and spacious with an individual outdoor area. Alfie had a comfy settee bed and TV to chill out.   There are large fields and paddocks in which he had supervised walks.  Alfie is a nervy dog on certain occasions and Nicky was great at assessing this and discussing it with me.   When I collected him, yes he was pleased to see me, but not over  bothered.  I was given examples of his experiences, including, meeting the horse, other dogs, walks and cuddles.  When we left, he stood up in the car looking for Nicky, so to me that says it all, that he was happy and very well cared for at Nicky's Place.   We will definitely be using again. 

We are a couple who have always had dogs & also had the luxury of my parents dog sitting when ever we wanted to go away abroad.  My parents have both died & we had never left our dogs with anyone else or for more than 4 hours.  We decided to come up with a list of all dog boarding places within a 20 mile radius of our home & contacted them or visited.  We were not impressed with any of the advertised boarding places &  certainly was not prepared to leave our dogs with them. Then right on our doorstep we found “Nickysplace” (which was absolutely perfect) We called in  on spec to visit the boarding kennels & Sue shown us round their fabulous set up,  Four luxury bedrooms with heating/aircon, CCTV, television, Daybed With comfy blankets,outdoor area with the most fantastic view & spotlessly clean. We also met their family dogs and Nicky who invited us to her dog training classes on Saturday mornings, we thought that would be ideal with our dogs being young & would benefit from training but also getting to know the owners and the environment. That was a huge success & both us & our dogs thoroughly enjoyed the training & gained certificates for level one & two in obedience.  Before we booked our dogs in for boarding we did a half day, then an overnight stay & then for several days. I cannot recommend nickysplace enough  - the owners are genuine dog lovers & look after your dog just as good as their own, I was anxious about leaving my dogs having never left them before, but they were on their holidays too!!!!!   So much so that when we came back they preferred to follow Nicky (much to my disgust). when we brought them home they slept for 2 days they were so tired out from walks & playing in 5 acres Of land.  Each time we go to Nickysplace the dogs are excited, happy & know exactly where they are.  This is a 5* star luxury place and service from start to finish.   The owners are completely reliable, very hardworking, very experienced & qualified  Dog trainer & breeder.  Where your pet gets the individual attention.

Thank  you so much for the fantastic, individualised care you have provided for Molly, every single time she comes to stay with you.   We can always go away knowing that she is completely safe and happy at Nicky's Place, and being loved  and cared for as much as at home, and probably entertained much better.  We love being able to check in on her occasionally on the webcam.

'Bella' spent 4 nights at Nicky's Place.   Was great, went above and beyond for 'Bella'.   We could see her on camera at any time what she was up to.  They even bought cool beds for the dogs.  Will be  using again.

My 'Diesel' spent 2 nights at these fantastic kennels.   Lots of open spaces for him to run around in, and lots of attention from Nicky and her team.  Highly recommend to anyone.

Nicky's Place is not just any boarding kennels, it's a holiday destination for dogs, always our first choice and we check availability before booking our own holidays.   Our 2 golden retrievers absolutely love Nicky's Place and we can enjoy our times away knowing that they are happy and so well care for.   Look forward to seeing you all again soon.
